4 deuces rooms?

I see in some of the reviews that people had different "themed" rooms at the party (red light room, poker room, etc). Is this written in as part of the mystery party, or are people coming up with these ideas on their own? I really like the idea of having the themed rooms, but do they hinder the mingling that the guests are supposed to do?
thanks
Jenn

Hi Jenn,

The themes are just kind of written in. IE: In Murder at the Four Deuces, the setting is a Speakeasy. In the mature version, we state that there is a Casino in the back and a brothel upstairs. That is just the setting described. It isn't a requirement that there be a casino or anything else for that matter. You can run any of our games with no theme decorations and no costumes, if you wish.

Decorating according to the theme of the game, just helps to set the mood and make the setting more realistic. We have some very creative people that throw our parties. You are only limited by your imagination.

Now, as to having people mingle in several rooms. This is actually something you want, if possible. People need room to have private conversations, even if it is in a bathroom or stepping outside. Being completely confined to one room is not the optimal setting for one of our parties. It can be done, but it is better to have more than one room for people to find some privacy. It is hard to take out an enemy or develop a secret scheme, if you are surrounded by a crowd.
